Concept

Shelter Outdoor, part of the Beaufurn family, needed a modern and scalable website to showcase its growing collection of premium commercial and residential shade solutions. The new site needed to serve architects, designers, hospitality professionals, property owners, and residential customers while making a complex product catalog easy to explore.

The website also needed to support different customer types, streamline quote requests, provide approved users with access to technical resources, and give the Shelter Outdoor team the flexibility to introduce new products and collections as the company continued to grow.

Solution

Sharp Innovations developed a responsive WordPress and WooCommerce website that organizes Shelter Outdoor’s extensive catalog of umbrellas, pergolas, cabanas, shelters, sail shades, and accessories into an intuitive product experience.

Custom account functionality provides commercial and residential customers with experiences tailored to their needs. Approved commercial users can access technical documents, CAD and SketchUp files, account information, and other product-specific resources. The site also supports customer-group pricing, quoting workflows, and ongoing product and pricing updates.

To make product discovery more engaging, Sharp created a flexible homepage collections grid with custom imagery, hover effects, descriptions, and links that Shelter Outdoor can manage directly through WordPress. A custom “Save to Project” feature allows architects, designers, and other buyers to collect multiple products while browsing and submit their selections together for a quote.

The site was also developed with responsive performance, search visibility, analytics, privacy compliance, and future expansion in mind—giving Shelter Outdoor a platform that can evolve alongside its products and customers.
