Concept
Since 1953, Metzler Home Builders has been providing high quality custom homes, renovations and additions. And while their homes continued to win multiple "Best of...", "Reader's Choice" and "Awards of Excellence" accolades, their website no longer lived up to the same standards. Metzler asked the team at Sharp Innovations to assist them in making their website as well-built and aesthetically pleasing as their homes.
Solution
Metzler was in the enviable position of having work that largely spoke for itself-the new website simply need to let the drama and impact of their custom homes, renovations and additions shine through. Through the Sharp Innovations design competition process, the team at Metzler was given their choice of possible aesthetic directions for their new site. Once an initial design was chosen, enhancements were made to fully capture the essence of Metzler's vision. Upon finalization, the design was married to newly refined text content and the full build-out began. Along the way, the existing Metzler blog was reworked to more closely resemble the new website design, and both social media linking and embedded videos were added to improve the viral aspects of Metzler's marketing efforts. The resulting website was both impactful and useful-highly engaging photography took center stage, while the project gallery, services information and related blog articles and videos all served to ensure site visitors would find everything they needed, and more.
