THE CHALLENGE 

Our client is a leader in assisting trade unions contain costs and improve service delivery for substance use disorder, mental health concerns and related issues to union members, retirees and dependents. They initiated a new program to help members with a positive drug test navigate the complicated and bureaucratic waters necessary to go back to work.

WHAT WE DID

We developed an intuitive member portal that allows members with a positive drug test to sign up and complete the necessary steps to get back into the workforce, including mandatory training, document provision, and payment processing. On the admin side, our client is able to verify completion of steps and track the progress of members from initiation to completion.

THE RESULT 

The member portal allowed our client to offer a value-added service to their trade union clients and their members for what is a very private and difficult situation for their members. This solution allowed union members to complete the necessary steps to get back to work in a private, self-paced manner. On the back-end, we automated the ability for our client to fully manage the process, along with the members to validate completed steps and to certify program completion.
